JAE Cleaning is committed to environmental protection and sustainability.  We involve employees as well as clients in the common goal of preserving and protecting the planet. When feasible, we engage in sustainable practices that conserve natural resources and reduce environmental impact.  The following are some of the programs and policies which we follow to assist with our sustainability statement:

• Our employees are our front line in the battle to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact.  We have ongoing training to ensure that lights are only used in rooms that they are cleaning and water conservation efforts are made;
• Use of environmentally friendly cleaning solutions.  It is important that the cleaning solutions we use are both effective and environmentally friendly.  Our core environmental standards that we strive to use for cleaning solutions consist of: no Nonyl Phenols, non-toxic, no phosphates, biodegradable, non-corrosive, no petroleum distillates, low V.O.C. levels and highly concentrated.  We strive to use both DfE products and Green Seal products;
• JAE Cleaning Services uses controlled dispensing systems for dispensing cleaning solutions.  These systems are easy to use and cost effective.  The dispensers accurately measure each dilution using preset metering tips to produce the desired cleaning solution.  The dispensers help in cutting down on the use and waste of chemicals;
• We keep in close communication with our client contacts to help ensure our recycle program is followed as much as possible.  We provide recycle bins to each location and provide bins in each office.  Even though educational settings today make every effort to use less paper (or go totally paperless), we have found that a great deal of paper still goes to waste, including everything from printouts and educational mailings to periodicals and correspondence.  It is a team effort to help preserve and protect the planet and JAE Cleaning Services prides itself in being part of that team.
• JAE Cleaning Services participates in paperless billing and paperless banking.  We encourage our employees to use direct deposit rather than paper checks and request that our clients also use direct deposit to pay invoices.  When clients permit, we email invoices rather than print them;
• We use cleaning consumables that are made from recycled materials including trash bags and mop heads as well as recycled client consumables such as paper towels and toilet tissue. Whenever possible we use biodegradable products as well;
• We properly dispose of all fluorescent light bulbs by delivering them to proper recycling centers;
• When possible, our staff also is instructed to move recyclables from the trash to the appropriate bins.
